Update 6-11-2020 -- TEACHERS WITH GUNS... Is it a good idea ?

HANS & SUSAN NEUHART - RESIDENTS OF HARRISON TWP, OHIO - SUPPORT THE BLACK LIVES MATTER MOVEMENT! 

   " If I'da been black  [BLACK]" ... A series - by Susan Marie Neuhart - (nee CassAdy) ... MY VERSION OF EVENTS :: MAY 1954 TO year 2020 ... 

  THIS  IS "MY VERSION" OF EVENTS - SOME THAT CAN BE CONFIRMED [- through police reports -]  - AND, SOME USA Company records
  IT IS FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN; WHICH, AT THIS POINT - (as far as I know) I DO NOT HAVE ANY ...   So, these stories are also a "poke" at Jack and Dawn Marie Danielson [nee Burton]  - Get busy! 

 [ Teachers with Guns ] When I was a student

  - at Columbus, Ohio "Starling Junior High School" [1967, '68, '69] - 
  the "Science Teacher" ( Ms. McDonald - I think was her name -  gave me an "F" on my "report card". 
 I laughed when I saw the "grade" - until "Captain" Beth K - reminded me: "... Susie! This means YOU can't "cheer ! ..."
  [ YOU SEE, I was a "chosen" school "cheer-leader". I had "PRACTICED" jumps, splits and cartwheels all summer long;  - and, even used my Columbus, OHIO "alley PROJECT clean-up money" to buy a sweater - to sew the school's big letter "S" onto. ]
        My Mom - had shown me 'How To' hem the little skirt - we wore. ... So, I knew - early on - [that]"sewing" - was not my "thing" 
  First, I fell to my knees [at the "Beth" reminder] - and sobbed. Then, I ran up the school stairs
    - to the Science Teacher's desk - in the school's "laboratory".  Beth tried to stop me... I shook her off.
  The TEACHER was seated - grading papers. 
 I stood - defiant - feet planted. She looked up. Our eyes met.
Through gritted teeth, I said: "If I had a gun, I would shoot you!" She gasp - and, looked down.   Eventually, I departed. 

    Some short time later, my Mom & me - were summoned to THE Principal's office.

The "Science Teacher" - whom I had "threatened" -was present also. 
 She stated (to me) : "Susie ... Don't you remember - I said "anyone failing to write up and 'document' - their experiments - will be given a grade of 'F' ?"  In fact, she had said this. In fact, [then] I remembered - "YES" - she had said this. 
   IN FACT, SHE WAS A VERY PRETTY, YOUNG, WHITE LADY - AND, ALL THE BOYS [it seemed] - LIKED HER. 
   IN FACT, I WAS "teenage JEALOUS" [14 years old] - OF THE "ATTENTION" - SHE GOT. 

MY PUNISHMENT: The principal considered - briefly [I was told] - to "kick me out" of the school.
  [But, I was a WHITE "CassAdy"]
 Then, with the Science Teacher's urging - I was ordered (to) - every day - before the next "Report Card" - set/sit with the Gym teacher - or, Mr. Hyde [the Biology teacher] - and write my "report" - of what was done - in "Science Class" (that day).
   Perhaps, I excelled - at "science report writing" - but, my (very proud) Mom showed me - many times - during the ensuing years - my "reported grade" - went from an 'F' - to an 'A'.  And then - one day - Mr. Leaf  ( a Columbus Central High School teacher) - invited me to see the "computer parts" - still in boxes - at Columbus DCSC. I was the "only girl" - invited - to see the "computer" [that year]. The boxes filled a room - at the fancy building. And, when assembled - the "computer" - would too.  I am glad the "teacher" did not shoot me. So are some others... If I'da been black ...

 NO! IMO Teachers - in the USA - should not have guns!
