  BernieS-NEW-Bill [ PDF ]

 As can be seen in the document, I visited the "National Public Radio" and downloaded the document text.
 B's new Bill is not available on the USA.gov site (this date) [ www.USA.gov ]
  - AND, not assigned a Senate Bill Number [yet]. I will obtain the "official" USA dot GOV TEXT - when I can.
    I Searched the word “insurance”  :: RESULTS: “insurance” occurs 25 times. I "bolded" each occurance.
       Most troubling (to me) is  section 107:  As shown,  B's "New Bill" creates perverse incentives - to encourage - "Rich people" & Private Insurance Companies - to create "private hospitals" AND claim - the facilities are NOT "duplicative";
which, I "guaran-tam-DEE YOU" - they - will do this.

(a) IN GENERAL.—Beginning on the effective date
described in section 106(a), it shall be unlawful for—
(1) a private health insurer to sell health insurance coverage that duplicates the benefits provided under this Act; or
(2) an employer to provide benefits for an employee, former employee, or the dependents of an employee or former employee that duplicate the benefits provided under this Act.

(b) CONSTRUCTION.—Nothing in this Act shall be construed as prohibiting the sale of health insurance coverage for any additional benefits not covered by this Act, including additional benefits that an employer may provide to employees or their dependents, or to former employees or their dependents. ..."

Why is Bernie Sanders "pussyfooting" around with the USA Insurance Industry?
  He claims - in a recent interview [A] [that] his Bill "ESSENTIALLY GET[S] RID OF IT". IN FACT, as I read SEC 107 [below] - it does not.  What his Bill does do - is create a "legal loop-hole" - so [that] "private insurers" CAN exist - so long as [they] do NOT "duplicate" services. This is merely an invitation to create a separate form of Health CARE.
 Hospitals & facilities for the RICH - AND, Hospitals & facilities for the POOR. IN FACT, I am a senior (born 1954) -  hhhhh Unlike, Mr. Sanders [apparently] - I know about "public" schools and "private" shchools - AND, the differences. "PRIVATE" insurance should be eliminated.
